The Zynq platform eliminates the need for the remote PC and can, with the help of FPGA based processing implement . The Zynq system runs on Ubuntu Linux and all of the legacy and newly developed application that are currently running on host GPP can be effectivelu ported to the embedded ARM CPUs. We do plan to preserve VITA and GNU Software Radio transport layers.
